Our Classes

We provide classes in a wide variety of genres for all age groups. Classes are fun, inclusive and professional and cater for students of all abilities, fulfilling those dancing as their hobby as well as those aspiring to a career in dance.

  • Tiny Tots

    A first introduction to dance and movement to music from 18-24 months with the help of parents/guardians. These classes will help tiny tots grow and develop fine and gross motor skills whilst having fun.

  • Tots

    From 2-3 years old the perfect foundation for ballet classes. These classes help your child develop an understanding of dance to music and lead nicely into the pre-primary RAD syllabus.

  • Ballet

    These structured classes develop students’ physical skills, stamina, creativity, coordination, expression and musicality using a range of movements, musical styles and story telling. The classes prepare students for a successful transition to ballet and other dance genres at grade 1 level.

  • Tap

    In our primary tap classes children will have fun exploring rhythm, musicality, storytelling and creativity. These classes are the perfect introduction to the world of dance. Students can work towards ISTD Exams or they can simply dance for fun and to make lots of new friends.

  • Modern

    In our primary modern dance classes children will have fun exploring rhythm, musicality, storytelling and creativity. These classes are the perfect introduction to the world of dance. Students can work towards ISTD Exams or they can simply dance for fun and to make lots of new friends.

  • Graded & Vocational Ballet

    Our graded ballet classes follow the RAD exam syllabus. A graded exam session is held each spring term, vocational exams are available three times a year. Classes focus on technique, creativity and musicality to inspire and reward students of all ages and abilities.

  • Modern

    Modern classes follow the ISTD syllabi. The graded examinations build up progressively, ensuring that steps and skills learned at lower levels prepare students for more complex movements as they progress. Exams are offered throughout the year.

  • Acrobatic Arts

    AcroDance, or acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements.

  • Drama

    Drama is a collaborative art form and our training stresses the importance of collaboration to achieve excellence. LAMDA offers a wide range of exams, and whether you are going solo or wanting to take your exams with friends, just getting started, or are ready to build on your skills, we can cater to your further achievement.

  • Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT)

    Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), an innovative body conditioning and strength-building program that prioritises muscle memory development through ballet-specific exercises. It is incorporated into graded ballet classes.

  • Graded & Vocational Ballet

    The RAD curriculum provides a well-rounded approach to ballet training, equipping students with a comprehensive education in classical ballet, it is based on a set of core principles. These include the importance of correct alignment, the use of turnout, and the development of strength and flexibility. Vocational ballet exams are offered throughout the year and a graded exam session is held in the spring term.

  • Contemporary

    The Rambert grades syllabus offers students the opportunity to expand their dance experience in Contemporary Dance through the exciting collaboration between Rambert and the RAD.

  • Jazz

    Jazz dance, with its dynamic and expressive nature, is characterized by a repertoire of movements that showcase fluidity, sharpness, syncopated rhythms, isolations, intricate footwork, and expressive body movements. It emerged in the early 20th century, evolving alongside jazz music in African-American communities.

  • Modern

    In the musical theatre class dancing singing and acting are combined to study numbers from the musical repertoire.

  • Pointe Preparation

    Our pointe preparation class is for students studying the vocational ballet exam syllabus. This is a strength-building class preparing students to safely take their first steps en pointe.

  • Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT)

    Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), is an innovative body conditioning and strength-building program that prioritises muscle memory development through ballet-specific exercises.

  • Adult Ballet

    It is never too late to start ballet. Benefits include improved physical health and fitness, stress relief, cognitive development and self-confidence. Join our ballet-loving community and meet some wonderful new people.

  • Pregnancy Yoga (From 16 weeks)

    Learn essential birthing techniques, from movements and mindset to breathing and relaxation - all designed to help you prepare for labour and birth with confidence. Classes will help you relieve common pregnancy pains, ailments and aches, from sciatica to pelvic girdle pain, heartburn to back pain, insomnia and swollen ankles. Accredited with leading UK bodies in midwifery and antenatal education (FEDANT) and yoga (Yoga Alliance Professionals)
